This course will involve
seminarians as they explore the nature and the functions of the
priesthood of Jesus Christ in the Letter to the Hebrews. Students
will proceed through four modules as they consider aspects such as
the following:
a) the role of the MEDIATOR in various religions;
b) the OT LEVITICAL PRIESTHOOD and its vestments, rituals and cultic
sacrifices;
c) the SPECIFICITY of Jesus' Priesthood according to the Letter to
the Hebrews;
d) The CONTINUATION of the Priesthood of Jesus Christ in the Church
Today.
