LaTeX?
LaTeX is a typesetting language, which is superior to modern "Word processors" such as Microsoft Word or even OpenOffice.org. LaTeX has smaller file sizes, in a human-readable format, which separate form and content, and which are easily rendered into better-looking documents ready for printing.
A Style File
I have written a small style file (.sty file) for LaTeX, which formats a document according to the guidelines for the Kenrick thesis. You can see a PDF example of the output it produces.

What about the bibliography?
I've nearly got a usable BibLatex style working! Be patient.
