Jesus came into this world as an infant born of royal blood from the Levite tribe. This can be traced back through the Blessed Virgin's family lineage by looking at Elizabeth who bore John the Baptist. He was a full Levite making him a Levite priest as far back as Aaron. So, too with Jesus since he as born of Mary, not of Joseph, whose bloodline goes back to the Levites. So, we can say that Jesus was of royal blood and thus a Priest though now He is the High Priest.
