Our Mission

KPLC NEWS

The Kenrick Pro-Life Committee (KPLC) is dedicated to the defense of human life from conception to natural death, and to preparing seminarians for this same mission in their future ministries. Humbly placing ourselves at the disposal of God's will, we seek to carry out this mission through prayer, education, persuasion, and the witness of our lives as individuals and a community.

We acknowledge life as the fundamental human right, without which no other right or dignity is possible. We believe every person is equally valuable without exception. We oppose any practice that takes human life except in the gravest circumstances of self-defense. We recognize abortion in all its form as the primary tragedy of our day, because of the sheer number of vulnerable, innocent, lives it takes and the void it leaves in the lives of so many parents, family members, and the whole human community (cf. The Catechism of the Catholic Church, par. 2272).
